Chemistry & Lab Data Expert (AI Community)

About the Role

Do you have a background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering? AI is currently learning how to help scientists design new materials, understand reactions, and read lab reports. At TELUS Digital, we need people with a “Chemistry Brain” to make sure the AI understands molecules, formulas, and safety rules correctly. You don’t need to be a computer scientist—you just need to know your way around a periodic table and a lab manual.

Key Responsibilities

• Check Formulas: Review chemical equations or molecular structures generated by the AI and ensure scientific accuracy.
• Safety Review: Verify that the AI provides correct advice on handling chemicals and on reactions between substances.
• Lab Data Cleanup: Organize experimental chemistry data so the AI can identify patterns in material behavior.
• Simplify Science: Translate complex chemical concepts into simple explanations for students or non‑experts.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
• Native Language: Native‑level proficiency in your primary language, with the ability to discuss chemistry as taught in your home country.
• English Proficiency: Basic (B1) English to understand project instructions.
• Accuracy: Strong attention to detail; a single wrong letter or number in a formula can change everything.
• Assessment: Completion of a subject‑specific qualification exam and ID verification as part of the hiring process.
