About the role
We're looking for Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models using real-world chemical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-Generated Chemistry: review model responses to advanced chemistry queries for factual accuracy, structural integrity, and logical reasoning.
- Fact-Check Reactions & Formulas: validate AI-generated chemical reactions, balancing equations, and ensure proposed synthetic routes are viable and safe.
- Audit Technical Documentation: review model-generated lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectral interpretations (NMR, IR, Mass Spec) for accuracy.
- Annotate Molecular Data: identify and correct errors in SMILES strings, 2D/3D molecular representations, and property predictions.
- Safety Monitoring: ensure AI outputs do not provide instructions for the synthesis of hazardous, illicit, or restricted substances.
Requirements
- Education: a BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Physical Science field.
- Professional Experience: experience in laboratory research, industrial chemical processing, pharmaceutical R&D, or academic instruction.
- Tech Mastery: deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical, or physical chemistry principles and reaction mechanisms.
- Safety & Compliance: a thorough understanding of chemical safety protocols (SDS), GHS standards, and regulatory requirements (EPA, REACH, FDA).
- Analytical Precision: the ability to identify errors in complex IUPAC nomenclature, stoichiometry, molecular geometry, and thermodynamic calculations.
- Communication: ability to explain intricate reaction pathways or molecular interactions in clear, technically accurate language.
