About the role

A global leader in viral vector development in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Chemistry Expert 5 for a high-visibility, 6-month contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a state-of-the-art facility supporting innovative biopharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Execute and develop complex analytical assays to support process development for viral vector therapeutics.
• Perform analytical testing using Thermo Vanquish UHPLC, Sciex CE system BioPhase 8800, Wyatt SEC-MALS, and FFF-MALS.
• Develop specialized methods on Thermo Vanquish UHPLC systems and write summary reports and transfer documents.
• Design, plan, and independently execute experiments while analyzing complex datasets.
• Manage direct technical transfers of analytical methods with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry with 7+ years of biopharma industry experience; OR Master's with 5+ years; OR Ph.D. with 3+ years.
• Hands-on expertise in HPLC and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) method development for biologics.
• Proficiency with Thermo Vanquish UHPLC systems and Thermo Chromeleon software.
• Experience with quality systems in an FDA-regulated environment and ICH guidelines.

$60 - 70 per hour
