About the role
This role is responsible for creating, coordinating, and implementing innovative skincare product development programs to support L'Oréal's innovation strategies. You will develop technically robust formulation solutions that adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality best practices/requirements. You will also initiate lab-scale experimentation, evaluation, compatibility, and stability studies to ensure smooth transition of innovative products through the product development process, culminating in transfer to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop new and robust skin care formulations correlating the relationship between ingredients and performance.
- Team-working collaboration to deliver on aggressive timelines with maximized operational efficiency and support.
- Show creativity and resourcefulness to come up with solutions to issues, which may arise during product development and/or in anticipation to issues which may appear in pilot plant or manufacturing.
- Support brands post-launch animation including participation in lab events with external guests showcasing the formulation expertise and superiority of the brands.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or a related scientific/engineering discipline is required.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in formulation research, ideally in a personal care or cosmetic field.
- Proven experience in Research & Development, demonstrating a project-oriented mindset focused on delivering robust, innovative, and highly functional products.

- Base Salary Range: $65,400 - $91,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
