Chemist - Production

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Work autonomously with occasional supervisory review
• Operate manufacturing fill processes under GMP conditions for medical fill operations
• Maintain compliance with all external regulatory agencies including FDA GMP, DOT, EPA, OSHA, DHS, as well as all Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. policies and procedures
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• Maintain empty and full cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessary product
• Operate and maintain process equipment
• Interface with maintenance technicians and vendors associated with fill equipment
• Engage any resources needed to handle safe startup, shutdown, and resolution of abnormal situations for the filling processes
• Oversee a variety of complex operations and duties in a production's environment
• Operate equipment and provide recommendations for performance improvements
• Perform visual and physical tests on each cylinder before filling and determine whether retesting and/or repairs are required
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures
• Support safety and quality departments by ensuring all employees comply with safety requirements including following established safety protocols, turning in all required safety and quality training materials and signatures as assigned, weekly, quarterly, or annually

What Makes You Great

• A four-year technical degree with emphasis on chemistry and math or equivalent work or industry experience
• Able to read, write legibly, perform basic math functions, and possess mechanical aptitude
• Able to roll 200+ lb. cylinders and lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year
• Able to work flexible hours (2-3 hours of starting and quitting times)
