Responsibilities

• Sample preparation
• Instrument setup
• Sample testing
• Data analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with peers to manage the development of appropriate testing to verify product meets customer requirements
• Recognize common and uncommon problems of moderate scope and complexity when they occur
• Use standard techniques, theories, and tools to identify and develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Adhere to safety policy procedures
• Execute testing protocols and perform testing in accordance with relevant internal SOPs and development process controls

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree required
• Top 3 technical skills: Proficiency in Karl Fischer titration, preferably with testing absorbable sutures and materials; Ability to troubleshoot analytical instrumentation; Experience with analytical test method development
• Must Have: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline

• Basic knowledge of medical device industry including clinical and regulatory pathways
• Outstanding written and verbal communication/listening skills
• Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and to the workplace with the ability to efficiently multitask

• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and computer software skills
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols for safe handling and disposal of hazardous agents, reagents, chemicals, and materials
