Primary Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment
- Participate in the completion of group activities
- Respond to standard requests for chemical analysis
- Implement approved plans to support department goals
- Participate in projects and services necessary to improve processes
- Aid in coordinating project results and implementing approved changes
- Develop and communicate project results through technical reports and memoranda
- Maintain complete and accurate records, data books, and other required documentation
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in Chemistry or related science field
- 2 - 4 years of analytical, environmental, or process chemistry experience
- Working knowledge of chemical analysis, standards, methods, and practices
- Working knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Working knowledge of various software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, and analytical programs
- Ability to operate a computer workstation and related hardware and software
- Ability to operate analytical instruments and equipment
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and in a production-oriented environment
