Chemist - ENTRY LEVEL
Responsibilities
- Collect and test compounds and samples following permit requirements using applied methods and techniques.
- Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software.
- Perform QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit and follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in GMP and analytical chemistry.
- Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Experience with inventory control for lab reagents.
- Ability to maintain samples and instruments and perform data entry.
- Familiarity with analytical equipment usage and associated filing and administrative activities.
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC and GCMS.
About the Role
The work environment is a laboratory setting. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 6 AM and ending at 2:30 PM. After initial training, hours may shift slightly later to begin around 8 AM. The role requires adherence to a lab-focused environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
