About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to join our laboratory team in a FDA/USDA/EU regulated environment. You will be responsible for testing raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining high productivity.

The lab is divided into three areas: Raw Material Testing, Biological Testing, and Pharmaceutical Testing. As part of the quality control team, you will ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and finished products from manufacturing. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet turnaround times and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of raw materials and finished products using analytical instrumentation.
• Utilize Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines.
• Adhere to testing schedules to maintain high productivity without compromising result integrity.
• Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Proficiency in HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, and other analytical techniques.
• Experience with titration, pipetting, and liquid chromatography.
• Strong background in chemistry, analytical chemistry, and laboratory procedures.
• Accurate documentation and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with two or more years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience is required.
• Preference for applicants with a BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation including HPLC, GC, AA, and UV/Vis.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel; operational experience with Water’s Empower data acquisition preferred.
• Knowledge of US and European pharmacopeia is preferred.
• Knowledge of human error awareness and prevention, as well as investigation and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in a supportive lab culture with approximately 30 team members. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. This is a fully onsite position in Lincoln, NE.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
