Cheminformatics Scientist

About the role

We are seeking a Cheminformatics Scientist to join our Flavors Science & Technology team, focusing on flavor ingredient discovery through cheminformatics, machine learning, and AI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms and workflows to accelerate aroma and taste molecule discovery
• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models using QSAR, AI, and computational approaches
• Apply statistical and machine learning methods to enhance hit identification processes
• Collaborate with chemistry teams to integrate AI/ML into research workflows
• Improve databases and computational pipelines supporting data-driven research
• Develop tools, visualizations, and analytical programs for molecular data analysis
• Communicate insights and support collaborative efforts
• Mentor colleagues and promote best practices in data management and reproducibility

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Cheminformatics, Chemistry, or related fields
• Expertise in structure-based design, virtual screening, and molecular dynamics
• 3+ years in ligand-based modeling, protein modeling, and cheminformatics tools
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, experience with SQL and analytics tools
• Knowledge of data science, statistical analysis, and NLP/LLMs in scientific contexts
