About the role
INEOS Pigments is a major producer of titanium dioxide, serving various industries globally. This role involves operating equipment and ensuring safe and efficient production in a chemical manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to SHE policies and INEOS Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules.
- Adjust equipment or semi-automatic systems to meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Report and resolve safety, efficiency, or product quality issues with peers, supervisors, or technical personnel.
- Monitor in-process quality and packaging quality, and sign work permits for maintenance activities.
- Complete documentation accurately and follow company rules, policies, and guidelines.
- Problem-solve and make decisions as needed.
- Communicate effectively through writing and speaking.
- Use basic office software and understand electronic data presentations.
- Possess a Chemical Operators Certificate or a recognized trade qualification (preferred).
Requirements
- Completed High School education.
- Experience with shift work.
- High regard for safety processes and PPE requirements.
- Adaptability to working in a team environment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Legible handwriting and comprehension of decimals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computing skills in Office software and understanding of other data presented electronically.
- Previous work experience in a chemical plant or similar industrial setting (preferred).
- A Chemical Operators Certificate or recognized trade qualification (preferred).
