About the role

The Process Manufacturing Engineer at TTM Technologies, Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining new and improved manufacturing systems to enhance the production of printed circuit boards. This position is located in Chippewa Falls, WI and is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain new and/or improved manufacturing systems, processes, methods, equipment, strategies, technologies, and facilities to improve manufacturability and meet product requirements within a reasonable schedule and budget.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches to manufacturing if a product, as designed, cannot meet product requirements.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, and/or equipment vendors to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Develop budgets for capital equipment, product start-up and development projects.
  • Develop project plans for implementation of new processes, existing process modifications, capacity improvements, and throughput enhancements.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis on new and existing manufacturing process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform capacity and capability analysis on manufacturing processes.
  • Develop experiments to diagnose and correct manufacturing problems utilizing statistically valid methodologies.
  • Identify yield improvement opportunities and lead the development of action plans to improve yields.
  • Perform defect characterization analysis to construct root cause-effect relationships for defect reduction leading to yield enhancements.
  • Document all tests and process changes – permanent and temporary – through a change control system that is ISO compliant.
  • Participate in project implementation and defect reduction teams.
  • Provide investigation, analysis, containment, and solutions for yield excursions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in related field.
  • Printed Circuit board or similar Electronic Manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in value-add manufacturing with chemical, mechanical, imaging, or polymer processes is preferred.
  • Adept in using MES systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and a working knowledge of Minitab, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with machine automation and Factory 4.0 concepts is preferred.
  • Highly technical communications capabilities are preferred to successfully exchange with suppliers, customers, and internal functions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with application coding (eg. Python, VBA) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with world-class manufacturing principles such as DOE, FMEA, Jidoka/Andon, TPM, 6S.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools.

Pay

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide range of factors including specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California, and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Schedule

The Process Manufacturing Engineer position is an on-site role located in Chippewa Falls, WI.
