Chemical Process Engineer

We're looking for a Chemical Process Engineer in Moon Township, PA or Latham, NY who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets. Ideal candidates will be located in Latham, NY or Moon Township, PA, though there is geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates near a Jacobs US office.
Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
- Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.
- Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
- Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on basic engineering applications and principles.
- Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 4-5 years of chemical process engineering experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certification.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Qualifications
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Moon Township, PA or Latham, NY.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
- Experience in the design of semiconductor facilities (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Ability to work independently for core tasks and seek specialized expertise when needed.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with members based in various regions.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $128,480.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
