Chemical Operator, Battery Minerals & Metals

What You'll Do

• Communicate with Senior Chemical Operators and team members regarding safety, production, quality, and operational issues
• Conduct pilot plant runs/campaigns in accordance with all safety and standards by following written and verbal work instructions
• Follow procedures to safely and efficiently operate equipment related to the manufacturing of chemicals
• Use equipment and instrumentation to monitor pressure, temperature, and other conditions
• Perform quality control testing as required, calibrate equipment, and maintain accurate documentation
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and complete required preventive maintenance

What You'll Bring

• Quantifiable production, process, or pilot lab experience
• Demonstrate abilities to operate, calibrate, and maintain chemical processing equipment in a safe manner
• Demonstrate experience with testing and documenting processes and results of experiments
• Must be able to operate forklifts and general material handling equipment
• Must be open and flexible to shift work
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
• Climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
• Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhere to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
