Chemical Engineering Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on topics like reactor optimization, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, phase equilibria, process safety, separation processes, polymer science, and industrial process control.
• Document every failure mode encountered during interactions with the model.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of the model's responses.
• Capture reproducible error traces during interactions.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• A PhD in chemical engineering or a closely related engineering field (ideally).
• Peer-reviewed publications, process simulations, lab-scale or pilot-plant experience, or industry work with tools like Aspen Plus or COMSOL.
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills.

Qualifications

Experience with high-quality training data for AI models is crucial. Expertise in areas such as thermodynamics, reaction engineering, process design, transport phenomena, chemical kinetics, catalysis, materials science, and biochemical engineering is necessary.
