Chemical Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

About the role

ATI is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join their team. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components (SA&C) business unit based in Millersburg, OR. It is a day shift position and typically works Monday-Friday. The Summer 2026 Internship Program runs from June to August.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain engineering drawings, including P&IDs and equipment documentation
• Auxiliary with development and revision of work instructions and operating procedures
• Perform field verification of equipment tags, piping labels, and process information
• Support document organization and data entry for PSM compliance records
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations personnel to ensure documentation accuracy
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all plant safety requirements

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in both office and field settings
