About the Role

Under direct supervision, you will create chemical formulations, processes, and equipment for water treatment plants, hazardous waste treatment, and related industrial applications of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.

• Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
• Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications.
• Update design requirements as necessary.
• Perform water sampling, treatment analyses, and modeling.
• Contribute to the firm’s technical knowledge management (TKM) by developing white papers and technical design documentation.
• Submit technical papers and designs for publishing in technical journals.
• Create or collaborate on presentation materials for conferences.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• 0 years of experience required (equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required (10% or less).

Pay

Pay range: USD $75,213.00 – $124,134.00. This range is a good faith estimate and reflects all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. Salary is determined by role, function, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, education/training, and geographic location.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
