About the role
The opportunity is available at the U.S. DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL) located in Adelphi, MD. We seek a candidate with a strong interest in future energy and power science and technologies who has recently studied or is currently studying in engineering or science.
Responsibilities
Energy demand is expected to increase across the board and we are working on innovating chemical and electrochemical energy conversion solutions by researching materials and technologies to harvest local power, convert to value-added products, and store it quickly and for long times. These multi-disciplinary problems require a team with materials, engineering, modeling, and design expertise.
Requirements
- Experience with lab work in either a work or school setting
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Personal initiative

- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Only
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctoral Degree
- Discipline(s): Chemistry and Materials Sciences (12)

Research Proposal
If selected by an advisor, the participant will be required to write a research proposal to submit to the ARL-RAP review panel. The proposal should relate to a specific opportunity at ARL, have a clear objective, and include a brief background and references of published efforts.
