Responsibilities

  • Set-up, support and production of high-quality products to help create a highly productive work environment.
  • Planning, checking, establishing a sequence of work to fabricate through quality control requirements; or where applicable.
  • Developing new and improved methods of production.
  • Perform multi-tasking and multi-machine operation.
  • Use any equipment (e.g., hand, power tools, air tools, scanners and computers) needed to prioritize, complete and process work assignments.
  • Perform any pickup, touchup, rework, part mark and incorporation of changes to the product as required.
  • Ensure that all FDAQ (Factory Data Acquisition) is completed according to work instructions.
  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties (e.g., replacing machine filters, lubrication/coolant levels, etc. as related to basic Total Preventative Maintenance duties).
  • Read, work from, and interpret blueprints, sketches, technique sheets, work orders, and other documentation required to complete operation per engineering.
  • Routinely move product within the shop-defined area, including across aisle, using shop assigned equipment as required, and complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation.
  • Performs verification of dimensions of parts using both mechanical and electronic precision measurement tools.
  • Perform inspection MVP, including first part review, of fabricated parts and assemblies.
  • Initiate and document any non-conforming condition.
  • Maintain required certifications, licenses or permits and qualifications as needed. (e.g. SLS, BAC, Nadcap, AS9100, crane, sealer, liquid nitrogen, vehicle ops).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable processes (e.g., FOD, Hazmat, OSHA, QMS).
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees of the same or lower classification level.
  • Level B
  • Prepare and maintain treating solutions used in Anodic, Dow Metal, Airok and other processing tanks.
  • Add specified chemical compounds in proper sequence and amounts to obtain correct solution strength per lab requirements.
  • Segregate and allocate material in accordance with treating requirements to obtain best shop practices.
  • Operate process tank equipment to accomplish selective metal removal or prep for paint to meet engineering specifications for part dimensions, weight or contour including single, multiple steps, and tapers.
  • Skin polishing of mechanical fastened aircraft assemblies.
  • CAD plate parts, materials and/or tools to exact tolerances.
  • Develop proper setups for the operations in which processing time, voltage, amperage and block-offs are not standardized.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Ability to obtain Respirator Certification.
    • Ability to operate Overhead Crane.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
    • Computer literate.
    • Basic Mathematics understanding.
    • Experience blueprint/drawing interpretation.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • Chemical Processing experience.
