About the role
As a Chef de Cuisine at Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, you will oversee culinary operations for The Set and The Roundhouse, delivering memorable dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and cost control to optimize profitability
- Develop and execute menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Manage inventory and procurement, maintaining cost efficiency while ensuring high-quality ingredients
- Support financial performance by participating in P&L reviews, managing food and labor costs, and implementing operational improvements
- Enhance guest experiences by engaging with guests and stakeholders, gathering feedback, and supporting initiatives to elevate dining
- Inspire and develop the team by supervising performance, providing coaching, and fostering a positive work environment
- Uphold regulatory standards for health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of cooking/culinary experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory role within a kitchen, preferably in a hotel setting
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Computer literacy and the ability to liaise between team members and upper management
- Luxury resort, payroll, and banquet (high-volume) experience are a plus
