Job Overview
Ebenezer is seeking a Cook/Chef to join their team at Ridges Care Center. This position prepares and cooks meals as assigned, meeting high-quality care standards, and serves meals to residents in a Senior Living Community in Burnsville, MN.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
- Handles and prepares food safely, adhering to policies and infection control standards
- Ensures timely production and meal service to residents
- Sets up line service
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work area after each use
- Assists with special events
- Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
Requirements
- ServSafe certification or must be obtained within 90 days of start date
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using Microsoft applications
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong written and oral communication abilities
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Qualifications
- Vocational/technical training/education/degree in culinary arts preferred
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Cooking experience in a similar environment
- Scratch cooking experience

Pay
The pay rate within the posted range may vary based on various factors including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Schedule
This culinary services position includes 32 hours every two weeks, four weekday shifts, and evening hours with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
