About the role

This is a great opportunity for a chef or highly experienced cook aiming to restore their work-life balance and gain employment in one of Australia's fastest-growing industries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
• Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation.
• Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery.
• A clear understanding of WHS.
• Confidence in medium-high volume meal preparation.
• Demonstrate the following:
• Hold a relevant trade qualification Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above.
• Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef.

Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards.

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Pay

$31.44 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Schedule

Full time position - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
