Responsibilities
- Cooking and serving meals according to cycle menus.
- Maintaining proper temperatures for hot and cold foods.
- Planning and initiating cooking schedules.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
- Assisting with inventory management.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Understanding and following safety codes and infection control procedures.
- Attending department meetings and in-service educational programs.
- Knowing and adhering to the community's fire and disaster plans.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in culinary arts or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of nutrition and menu planning.
- Ability to manage inventory and budget.
