About the role

The role involves managing a team of chefs in a high-end restaurant setting, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen staff and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement new menu items based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to plan and execute special events and seasonal menus.
  • Manage inventory and budgeting to optimize costs and maintain profitability.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen management experience.
  • Proven track record of successful menu development and execution.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Valid food handler certification.
  • Experience with corporate dining and event planning.
  • Knowledge of local and international cuisine.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using kitchen management software.

Pay

$75,000 - $85,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts.
