Cheese Plant Packaging - Maintenance Technician
About the role
Position Summary The Packaging Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging equipment. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient packaging operations by responding promptly to maintenance requests, completing preventative maintenance tasks, and identifying potential equipment issues before they result in downtime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, works well independently, and has experience repairing industrial or food-processing equipment. Electrical, welding, and fabrication experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain packaging machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance according to established checklists and procedures.
- Conduct routine visual inspections of packaging equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Perform welding and fabrication work when qualified and needed.
- Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
- Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, GMPs, and food-safety policies.
Qualifications
- Previous
