Check In Attendant for Concerts & Sports Events - Kia Center, Camping World Stadium & UCF
Job Summary
The Event Check-In Attendant plays a critical role in creating a seamless event-day experience by ensuring hourly team members are prepared, properly equipped, and cleared to work before each event. This position serves as the first point of contact for employees arriving for their shifts and provides operational and administrative support to the People Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Event Day Check-In
- Welcome and check in all hourly team members upon arrival.
- Verify employee identity and confirm scheduled assignments.
- Direct team members to their assigned department, location, and reporting manager.
- Ensure team members arrive at the appropriate check-in location within scheduled timeframes.
- Maintain organized and efficient employee flow to minimize wait times.
- Uniform Distribution Support
- Prepare uniforms and laundry for event-day distribution several hours prior to employee arrival.
- Organize uniforms by department, size, and position.
- Issue uniforms to team members as needed.
- Collect, organize, and sort returned uniforms following events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional uniform room.
- Meal Voucher Distribution
- Distribute meal vouchers in accordance with company guidelines.
- Verify eligibility before issuing vouchers.
- Maintain accurate records of meal voucher distribution.
- Report discrepancies or shortages to the People Team.
- Compliance & Work Eligibility
- Verify employees are approved and cleared to work prior to check-in.
- Confirm completion of required onboarding, training, certifications, or documentation.
- Ensure employees have proper credentials, uniforms, and required equipment.
- Notify HR or department leadership of any compliance concerns that may prevent an employee from working.
- Uniform & Appearance Compliance
- Ensure team members meet company grooming and uniform standards.
- Verify required uniform pieces are worn correctly.
- Address minor uniform issues and provide replacements when available.
- Escalate repeated or significant compliance concerns to management.
- Staffing Coordination
- Assist in filling open shifts or reassigning team members based on operational needs.
- Communicate staffing updates with department leaders.
- Help direct employees to alternate work locations when necessary.
- Maintain awareness of staffing levels throughout the check-in process.
- HR & Employee Support
- Answer basic employee questions regarding schedules, uniforms, event information, payroll contacts, and HR processes.
- Assist employees with simple HR requests or direct them to the appropriate People Team representative.
- Support new team members during their first event by explaining the check-in process and answering general questions.
- Promote a welcoming and positive employee experience.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate check-in records and attendance documentation.
- Auxist with event staffing reports and check-in logs.
- Prepare event-day paperwork and employee materials.
- Ensure all check-in supplies are stocked and organized before each event.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Event Readiness
- Arrive several hours before scheduled events to prepare the check-in area.
- Set up check-in stations, signage, uniforms, meal vouchers, and event materials.
- Ensure the check-in area remains organized, clean, and professional throughout the event.
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup following employee check-in.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service, hospitality, HR, or administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment.
