Charter Services Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimizing processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. You will assist and provide guidance to clients and internal/external teams on specialized job orders, status updates, price quotes, or other job-related questions.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the charter Services P&L
• Enter orders and set up logistics plans to meet customer’s needs
• Ensure and maintain the order flow through QT
• Contribute and ensure alignment with strategic goals for process efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Implement initiatives for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making
• Address real-time customer satisfaction concerns and ensure corrective actions are applied and followed through
• Actively contribute to corporate strategy by implementing operational initiatives aligned with company goals
• Ensure readiness with contingency plans and compliance, including necessary access for service partners

• Maintain a high level of quality data entry and recordkeeping
• World Geography / Time Zones
• Freight forwarding / logistics background
• Knowledgeable in domestic/international routings (preferred)
• Customer service experience and/or background in logistics, air freight, or supply chain management (preferred)
• Dangerous Goods certification (preferred not required)

The hourly wage range for this position is between $30.00 and $33.00 an hour. Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
