Charter Guardian/Facilities

About the role

This position serves as both Facilities Manager and School Safety Guardian. The Facilities Manager oversees maintenance and upkeep of the school's facilities, while the School Safety Guardian maintains safety, security, and order.

Responsibilities

• Respond to minor repair requests and manage inventory control processes.
• Manage building and grounds, conduct safety checks, and implement security and emergency procedures.
• Inspect buildings for repairs or renovations, monitor utilities, and ensure cleanliness and professionalism.
• Occasionally assemble furniture, answer phones, and interact with the public.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year or four-year college degree preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience or training in a secured related field preferred.
• Knowledge of standard security procedures and best practices.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to professionally interact with various constituents.
• Ability and willingness to accept direction and follow established policies and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to show cultural competence.
• Ability to exercise good judgment under potentially dangerous conditions.
• Ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others.
