About the Role
The Charge Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care based on theoretical concepts and standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
- Utilize clinical knowledge to make informed decisions and prioritize patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Obtain and sustain necessary certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and unit-specific credentials.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, walking, and various movements like bending and reaching.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in the state or compact licensure.
- Certifications in BLS, with additional certifications based on department needs.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and prolonged activity shifts.
