About the Role

6 West Med Surg Post Surgical is a 24-bed unit specializing in post-operative weight loss surgery such as Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy. This role involves coordinating staff, providing leadership, and ensuring the delivery of quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor nursing and support staff.
• Assess patient needs and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
• Address patient care complaints.
• Participate in staff hiring and development.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months, depending on the unit.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
