Position Details Location: Morton Plant Hospital, 300 Pinellas St., Clearwater, FL 33756Status: FulltimeShift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PMOn Call: YesAlways in person Summary The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include: Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned This position requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years RN experience in Operating Room for consideration. CVOR experience is strongly preferred. Experience as a Charge RN in the Operating Room preferred. Board running experience preferred. Specific Skills Clinical skills appropriate to position Interpersonal skills Certifications And Licensures BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department Preferred Nurse Specialty Education Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or RN Certification in related field Experience Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
