Responsibilities

• Supervise the total health care delivery system in your assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments.
• Monitor nursing service, maintain accurate records, and identify potential problems, proposing corrective actions as needed.
• Aid with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements.
• Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience.
• Certified Registered Nurse (RN) license within the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide direct supervision of patient teaching and ensure ancillary personnel perform only qualified services.
• Accountability for the overall quality of patient care in your assigned unit.
• Autonomy in a warm team environment with growth and training opportunities.
