Principal Responsibilities
- Coverage of daily nursing functions
- Documentation of care and service provided
- Orientation of new residents/family members
- Participation in facility surveys
- Ensuring high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction
- Resource to all staff within the facility
- Administering medications and treatment
- Managing nursing personnel
- Affirmative assessment of staff performance
- Facilitating shift-to-shift communication
- Coordination of shift assignments, resident assignments, rest and meal breaks
- Collaboration with other departments
- Nursing administrative responsibilities
- Compliance with state staffing requirements and resident needs
- Reporting of incidents, accidents, and adverse events
- Evaluation of care interventions and development of alternative interventions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
