About the role

Highland Pines is a long-term care facility seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. We invest in our employees and credit them for the success and great clinical outcomes of the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift
• Serve as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided
• Provide direct resident care when required, including administering medications and treatments according to facility policy
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Effectively manage nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel
• Assess the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals
• Conduct regular staff meetings on each shift and provide updates to Director of Nursing
