About the Team
Lovelace Women’s Hospital is a 53‑bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award‑winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of the assigned area in his/her charge.
- Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
- Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
- Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing
- One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
- CPR BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty
- National Certification in specialty care
