About the role
Seeking a Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) with clinical leadership and management skills to oversee daily operations in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting nursing staff in patient care and orthopedic protocols
- Managing human resources through hiring, evaluations, counseling, and staffing
- Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and continuing education requirements
- Facilitating communication among staff, physicians, and management
- Monitoring staffing levels, cost efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives
- Participating in departmental and organizational strategic planning
- Supporting patient safety, risk management, and infection control programs
- Maintaining staff records, certifications, and licensure
- Promoting teamwork and professional development
Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- Associates Degree in Nursing or higher
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 3 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Previous management experience
