Charge Nurse RN/LVN
Brief Description
As an RN/LVN Charge Nurse in our Long Term Care facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to providing high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Supervise, support, and guide CNAs and nursing assistants on shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform assessments and monitor resident conditions
- Document care clearly and timely in the medical record
- Coincide admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Respond to incidents and complete required reports
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, providers, and leadership
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control, and safety standards
- Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Current, active, unencumbered RN or LVN license (Texas)
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or healthcare preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Knowledge of nursing standards, scope of practice, and regulatory requirements
