Charge Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Nights

About the Role

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations during night shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They provide clinical leadership, manage patient assignments, and coordinate interdisciplinary teamwork within a supportive environment guided by evidence-based practices and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and allocate resources, including equipment and staffing, to support optimal care delivery.
• Make patient assignments considering staff experience and patient needs.
• Conduct daily patient rounds, review discharges, and collaborate with physicians and supervisors on bed flow and patient status.
• Lead clinical assessments, ensuring individualized, safe, and culturally aware care through evidence-based nursing processes.
• Foster effective communication, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote safety and quality outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting staff development and professional growth.
