Charge Nurse ICU
Job Summary
As our ICU Charge Nurse, you will help your frontline nursing team navigate the daily challenges of high-acuity patient care so they can deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and reach their full professional potential while meeting unit goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee department operations and advocate for your fellow nurses by identifying and addressing the unique needs of your patients, staff, and unit.
- Drive clinical excellence, manage overall unit performance, and confidently lead both 1:1 interactions and group communications.
- Demonstrate high personal accountability, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to navigate tough conversations to ensure staff and unit accountability.
- Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.
- Coach to improve care.
- Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
- Prepare work schedules, assign personnel, and coordinate patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care.
- Demonstrate appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations.
Required Job Requirements
- Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience.
- AZ RN license.
- AHA BLS and ACLS.
- Associate's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent.
- Preferred CVICU experience or Critical Care Charge Nurse.
- Bachelor's Degree of Nursing.
- Certification in Specialty.

Pay Range
$42.85 - $63.77 /hour
