Charge Nurse

About the role

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in Hanson, Kentucky. This position serves as a Charge Nurse and supervises professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
• Work within a team-centered environment to meet the center's commitment to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

Requirements

• Must have an active, unrestricted and probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.
• Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

Benefits

• Locality Premium - $14.36 per hour.
• Shift Premium for Second and Third shift – 15%.
• Weekend Premium – 25%.
• Holiday Premium – 25%.

Pay

• Salary $31.81 hourly.
