BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist (Overnight Shift) at Barnes Jewish Hospital (BJH) Center for Advanced Medicine (St. Louis, MO).
Position Details
Over Night Shift: 4 days @ 10 hour shifts (Tuesday – Friday) or (Monday – Thursday) – TBD
No Call or Weekends!
Requirements
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
- 2 years’ experience

Role Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI,CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
- Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs.
- Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
- Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
- Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately.
- Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.

- 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
Licenses & Certifications
- IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRIRTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-10 years Licenses & Certifications Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
