Novant Health is seeking a Charge Entry Auditor to review, audit, and monitor charges entered by providers and clinical staff, ensuring accurate and compliant billing.

Responsibilities
- Audit provider-entered charges to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing and reimbursement requirements.
- Review clinical documentation and medical records to validate that charges accurately reflect services provided.
- Identify charge capture errors, missing charges, duplicate charges, incorrect charges, and billing discrepancies.
- Monitor charge entry activity and trends to identify recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED (required).
- Experience: Previous working experience in a medical business office (preferred).
- Licensure/Certification: CPC certification (preferred).
Skills

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Sufficient knowledge of account inquiry and analysis to investigate and evaluate situations.
- Supervisory skills for accepting responsibility, decision-making, directing, delegating, and supervising personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a constantly changing environment.
- Good working knowledge of computer systems.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate all equipment, work efficiently and accurately, plan and organize work, and work overtime hours as needed.
- Ability to deal with continuous stress and work effectively with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
- Knowledge of insurance and handling of claims (including medical necessity and pre-existing conditions).
- Professional competency in the use of all computer systems and departmental equipment.
- Preferred:
- PC, word processing, and spreadsheet skills.
