Call Rotation Required (1 Day Per Week & Every 9th Weekend)
Weekend Rotation (Only On Call Every 9th Weekend)
Holiday Rotation Required (1 Day Per Year)

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital. Radiology Department

The Radiology Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a full-service, diagnostic center dedicated to delivering the highest quality imaging services to our patients and their physicians. We provide competent, courteous and compassionate clinical services, and respond to requests for services from patients and referring physicians promptly. Same-day-service and delivering quick results to physicians are hallmarks of our services.

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI, CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
  • Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs.
  • Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
  • Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
  • Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately.
  • Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Associate or Trade School
  • Experience: 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
  • Licenses & Certifications: IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRIRTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience: 5-10 years
  • Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
