Job Title: Character Art ManagerLocation: Los Angeles, California (On-Site)Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading entertainment-driven organization to present an exciting opportunity for a creative leader who can shape original character artwork for global consumer products. Our team is looking for a hands-on visual expert who can balance artistry, brand consistency, and cross-functional collaboration while helping develop fresh, scalable character assets for a wide range of product applications.ResponsibilitiesIdeate and develop original character poses, expressions, outfits, props, group compositions, and character interactions for consumer product use.Personally sketch, refine, and revise artwork while providing hands-on support on priority projects as needed.Translate model sheets, turnarounds, animation references, and approved production artwork into assets created specifically for consumer products.Create drawovers and redlines, review work at each stage, and provide clear creative direction to artists, freelancers, vendors, and agencies.Required:Strong portfolio demonstrating character illustration, pose development, expression work, outfit exploration, and visual storytelling.Experience in consumer products, animation, entertainment, or IP licensing.Excellent drawing skills with a strong understanding of anatomy, gesture, movement, proportion, silhouette, and expression.Proven ability to draw established characters accurately while bringing fresh personality and energy to the artwork.Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and relevant digital drawing tools, along with experience creating drawovers and directing internal or external artists.About SSI People: With over 26 years of industry experience, SSi People has built its reputation and expertise on putting people first.
