Chaplain Per Diem

About the role

Chaplains provide Spiritual Care and counsel to patients, families, hospital personnel and students; assist in organizing, coordinating, and monitoring Spiritual Care services. Chaplains also participate in community programs as requested and authorized and engage in professional development activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spiritual Care and counseling to patients, families, hospital personnel, and students.
• Aid in the organization, coordination, and monitoring of Spiritual Care services.
• Engage in professional development activities.
• Participate in community programs as requested and authorized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)
• Licensure/Registration/Certification from relevant organizations (e.g. Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains)

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Divinity, Chaplaincy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent according to one's spiritual tradition.

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in pastoral care and counseling techniques
