Chaplain - Per Diem

Role Overview: The Chaplain provides person-centered spiritual, religious, and emotional care to patients, families, and staff, supporting diverse needs such as crisis response, end-of-life care, grief support, and ethical concerns. Key Responsibilities Deliver timely spiritual care aligned with departmental policies, including assessments, care planning, and connecting patients with community resources.Serve as a backup to ensure 24/7 hospital coverage, including weekends and holidays.Partner with interdisciplinary teams and community clergy to meet spiritual and emotional needs.Assist with advance care planning, documenting directives and facilitating ethical discussions.Participate in safety initiatives, staff meetings, professional development, and hospital activities.Maintain accurate documentation of visits and adhere to ethical and safety standards. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred, with at least one year of theological education.Certification in Clinical Pastoral Education (one unit required, two preferred).Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.Strong interpersonal, empathetic, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support diverse patient needs.
