Position Summary
Chaplains serve as messengers and conduits of faith, mission, and purpose, interacting with companies, employees, and the community to promote Christian ministry and support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
- Interact with companies, employees, and the community through personal and spiritual disciplines.
- Make regular visits to company worksites to build relationships of trust and friendship.
- Provide confidential pastoral discussions for employees and their immediate family members on various life issues.
- Offer referral services and coordinate specialized assistance for employees and family members.
- Assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals for employees and family members, offering support during the grief period.
- Support laid-off or terminated employees during transitions to new work environments.
- Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities as appropriate, but not lead them.
- Provide literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
- Represent companies to clients and customers, especially in times of crisis.
- Participate in new employee orientations to explain the Employee Care Service and Chaplain Team roles.
- Respond positively and assertively to other duties and services requested by executive leadership, within the scope of the Letter of Agreement.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Active state driver’s license and minimum auto insurance.
