About the Role
We are dedicated to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. Chaplains serve as messengers and conveyors of faith, mission, and purpose, interacting with employees and the community to build trust and friendship. They provide confidential pastoral discussions, referrals, and support for various personal issues, including family matters, divorce, illness, grief, and financial stress. Chaplains also assist with funeral arrangements, facilitate spiritual enrichment activities, and represent companies to clients and customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
- Interacts with companies, their employees, and the community in a manner that exhibits character through personal and spiritual disciplines.
- Makes brief visits to company worksites regularly to build relationships and provide support.
- Visits employees or immediate family members to express care and offer help, including hospital visits, home visits, and funeral support.
- Provides confidential pastoral discussions for problem issues, including family matters, divorce, illness, grief, and financial stress.
- Acts as a coordinator for specialized assistance and provides referral services.
- Affords follow-up support and encouragement to immediate family members during the grief period.
- Assists in the planning and conduct of funerals for employees or immediate family members.
- Facilitates post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees.
- Facilitates or attends spiritual enrichment activities, as appropriate.
- Represents companies to clients and customers, especially in times of tragedy.
- Participates in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and the role of the Chaplain Team.
- Responds positively and assertively to other duties and services requested by executive leadership, within the scope of the Letter of Agreement.
