Job Summary

Recruits excellent students to participate in all levels of Clinical Pastoral Education. Conducts didactics, IPR, Individual supervision, verbatim seminars, and writes evaluations for CPE students as assigned. Assists with administrative functions related to the CPE program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and instruction of Clinical Pastoral Education students as assigned.
  • Develop and evaluate CPE curriculum to provide high quality educational opportunities for students and excellent spiritual care for patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide spiritual support for patients, families, and staff as part of Chaplain duties.
  • Consult, counsel, and support to other team members as appropriate.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team conferences, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Consult with patients and families regarding their clergy of choice and advise them on admission.
  • Document all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frame.

Requirements

  • ACPE Certification as a Certified Educator Candidate at any level
  • M. Div. or equivalent
  • Five years Chaplaincy experience in a medical setting
  • Ordination or commissioning by recognized faith group
  • Ecclesiastical endorsement from recognized faith group or denomination
  • Board Certification from APC, NACC, NAJC preferred

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • - (Required)
  • - Divinity (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year-Managerial/Supervisory
  • Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience

Certifications and Licenses

  • Member of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education
  • Ordination/Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement - Default Issuing Body

Pay

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position.
