Channel Communications Manager
About the role
Equinix Channel partners are core to our long term strategy and how we find and serve customers, helping to extend our industry-leading AI ecosystem, enter new markets, and accelerate revenue growth. The team building the next phase of our Channel go-to-market (GTM) motion is doing foundational work that will drive our current and future success. The Manager of Channel Communications is the strategic communications owner for this critical part of the business. This leader will bridge internal alignment and external activation, shape a unified Channel narrative, and serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP of Channel Sales and other senior leaders. The right person for this role is an expert writer, connector, strategist, and operationally-excellent driver of day-to-day results. They will have a rare opportunity to build something that matters for a company at the forefront of technology and the digital infrastructure that shapes our lives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own a compelling, durable Channel narrative that connects across audiences and moments
- Drive communications planning that links near-term activities to long-term strategic objectives
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leadership
- Act as a cross-functional ambassador — connecting dots between teams, workstreams, and external partners
- Clarify roles, ownership, and integration points across functions to reduce ambiguity and accelerate execution
- Drive adoption of the new behaviors required to scale the Channel motion company-wide
- Build employee understanding, readiness, and genuine belief in the Channel strategy
- Partner with PR, AR, and other functions on Channel announcements and external messaging
- Work with communications teams at Channel partner organizations to maximize joint storytelling opportunities
- Lead communications for our Channel Partner Program and other Channel-facing initiatives
- Oversee ongoing Channel partner communication vehicles including newsletters, one-off updates, and social channels
- Develop a tailored executive platform aligned to Channel, GTM, and company narratives
- Prepare executives for speaking opportunities, media interviews, events, and partner engagements
- Provide ongoing coaching and communications development
- Manage executive social presence and content cadence
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of communications experience, with meaningful exposure to B2B, channel, or partner ecosystems
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies across internal and external audiences
- Strong executive presence and experience advising senior leaders
- Channel experience not a requirement, but certainly a plus
- Ability to build narratives in complex, fast-moving transformation environments
- Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, PR, and AR teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- A strategic mindset paired with a bias for action; you think big and get things done
